Project Description

After years of preparation and months of planning, we’ve finally arrived at Commitment Weekend for our capital campaign!  As you are aware, Our Faith, Our Families, Our Future is a 3-year, $5 million campaign that will expand our facilities and significantly enhance our mission.  I hope you’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the details of the expansion, whether through the displays, information sessions, web site, or by talking to me or one of our Campaign Core Committee members.  I also hope that you have joined in our parish-wide prayer effort over these past three weeks.  (See the insert in this bulletin for the third and final week of this prayer, which will lead up to our parish feast day next Sunday.)

I am very happy to report that, through the diligent efforts of our Core Committee and the generosity of so many parishioners, we have already raised $X.X million toward our $5 million goal.  We’re almost there!  But we need every parishioner’s help in order to reach our goal and make these much-needed additions to our campus.

All registered parishioners should have received a campaign brochure in the mail, and this weekend everyone will receive a pledge card that will enable you to participate.  Many of you have already spent a good deal of time and prayer discerning your contribution and will be ready to return the card today, which is outstanding.  Others may need an additional week or two to discern your pledge.  But we ask every parishioner to please return a pledge card and participate to whatever extent you are able.

Every parishioner’s contribution – no matter what your capacity to give might be – is greatly needed and highly appreciated.  I know how much our parishioners sacrifice of their time, talent and treasure to make this such a vibrant parish.  Throughout this whole campaign, I have been overwhelmed by how generous people have been, and humbled by the beautiful stories they tell about why Christ the King means so much to them.  It just reinforces how blessed I feel to be here.

Many thanks to you who have already participated.  And many thanks to those of you who will participate this weekend, or in the weeks to come.  Please know of my daily prayers for you and for our parish!
