Project Description

Happy Feast Day!  Today the Church throughout the world celebrates Christ the King, and it’s an especially joyful day for our parish, named after this feast.  Today also marks the 84th anniversary of our parish, which was dedicated on the Feast of Christ the King back in 1933.  A few thoughts for our feast day:

  • I hope you all have had a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving weekend. Gratitude is such an important virtue for all Christians, and indeed all people.  Taking some time each day to give thanks to God is not only an important habit, but I’m convinced that it’s absolutely key to a happy and peaceful life.  I encourage you not only to give thanks to God this weekend for His many blessings, but to make this a daily habit.  It makes a real difference.

  • Just a reminder that the dedication of our new organ will take place at 3:00pm today, with a blessing service, recital and reception. It should be a wonderful afternoon.  Hope to see you there.

  • The U.S. Bishops have designated this upcoming week as a “Week of Awareness” for persecuted Christians. One of the things we give thanks for this weekend is the fact that we have the freedom to worship God publicly and to practice our faith fully.  We know that not everyone in the world enjoys that freedom, so please take some time this week to remember those who suffer for their faith.  For more information, please see
