Hello Everyone!

What an exciting week with all the snow that we got! I hope you enjoyed the snow day. The second graders have been very busy. Miss Kenesey has been teaching them really great lessons. We will really miss her when she moves on to her second teaching assignment with special education. Please send in items this week to fill her goody basket. You can send in anything that you think she might need the first year teaching. We will give her the gift on Friday as this is her last day with us.

Please consider signing up for the Young Author’s Conference. The Conference is Saturday, April 16th from 8:15 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. at St. Joseph High School. Students will meet the famous author Steve Swinburne. They will also have an opportunity to share a book that they wrote with other students their age. Be sure to sign up by March 11!

There is an all school Penance service on March 1st. The second graders will take part in receiving this Sacrament with the rest of the school. What a wonderful Lenten opportunity to grow closer to Jesus. We will review the Act of Contrition with the students in the classroom. Please review the prayer with your students at home as well.

Please send in bar soap for our Lenten service project. Our donations will be going to Our Lady of the Road.

Have a wonderful week!
