Hi Parents,

What a great Catholic Schools’ Week we had! Thank you so much for helping with Invite a Friend on Wednesday! It was a wonderful visit with friends. We are so blessed to be able to share our school with the people we love. Fr. Chris’ gift basket was amazing! Thank you so much for your generosity! I’m sure he was overwhelmed with the giant basket of goodies that came from Primary with love.

We have another exciting week planned for the children. Miss Kenesey has some wonderful lessons about letter writing planned for the students. She is really enjoying the children as she takes on more responsibility in the classroom. Rick Glassman will be visiting our classroom again. This time he will talk about bats. The children will learn so much.

Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday. Our class will discuss ways that we can say extra prayers, participate in almsgiving, and fast from things that distract from our relationship with Jesus.

The information for February Book–It went home on Tuesday. This month, the children are responsible for an oral biography report. Please be sure to have your child bring in the book for approval. The reports will be presented the first full week of March.

We will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday. Your child can send in Valentine’s any day this week. Please do not address the Valentine’s as it makes it hard for your child to pass out. Your child may send in Valentine’s for the whole class, or just the girls, or just the boys. You may also send in Valentine’s for the other second grade if you would like.

The children are really enjoying the time spent with you learning about the Eucharist. Thank you for making the time spent so very special! Chapter two is due on Thursday.
