Please Welcome

Greetings Christ the King!

It was an adventurous journey that brought me to serve as your new Director of Youth Ministry.  I did my undergraduate studies at Boston College, but Notre Dame still accepted me into the Echo Program, from which I graduated this past July.  While in Echo, I served in two different parishes in the Diocese of Camden, NJ, where I had the privilege to meet some amazing young men and women, eat some delicious food, and be amazed at the flamboyant styling of some real housewives of New Jersey.

The North East was quite a change of pace for this Midwest girl.  I grew up in Cincinnati with my eight siblings, all of whom are amazing individuals and some of my best friends.   But a change of pace was good, and I learned a lot.  Now I am so grateful to be moving back where people are more relaxed and spaces are more tastefully decorated.

Soon after I left New Jersey, I moved home, finished my degree, got married, went on a honeymoon, and moved to South Bend (whew!).   My husband, Shane, and I are so excited to be settling in South Bend and to be members of Christ the King Parish.  I look forward to meeting you and serving you in many different ways.  Please feel free to reach out to me (aulbrich@christthekingonline.org ) with any kind of concern, and know that you are all in my prayers.

Peace,

Abigail Ulbrich

Youth Ministry

Striving to make God known, loved, and served as young men and women in the 21st century.

Our annual fall fundraiser is right around the corner. The youth group assembles delicious ready-to-bake Dutch apple pies, available only for pre-order! The last day to place an order is Tuesday 11/19. You can online, or at the parish office. We will be assembling our pies on Saturday, November 23 from 9am-1pm. We need help from teens and adults alike! We especially need extra hands the first hour (from 9-10 AM) to peel apples, and the last hour (12-1) to clean up.

Registration is open now for annual winter retreat at YMCA Camp Eberhart. Teens in grades 8-12 are invited to come away for a weekend of prayer, reflection, rest, and rejuvenation. We will have some activities with the camp counselors, some activities with our group, and lots of down time to rest, hang out, and reconnect with your faith. To register, fill out the online form here and return the paper forms, found here: YMCA Waiver 2019  Overnight-Trip-Permission-Form-

Fall 2019
